I specialise in teaching Keyboard Style, which is a blend of both Piano and Organ styles. With over 20 years experience teaching music here in Cairns, Australia, my techniques are finely tuned to help students of all ages develop their natural talent.

My tuition covers all the traditional tools of the musician including theory, notation,  fingering, ear training, performing, improvising, arranging, and song writing. My tuition and special musical arrangements have helped many pupils win in Eisteddfod and Music Festivals.

A sense of humour is a valuable teaching tool and we have fun during the lesson as well as work hard! I've helped gifted children as young as 4 and mature students above 80 years of age achieve their musical ambitions.

I offer 10 minutes of free email advice with the purchase of any of my books. They have taken many hundreds of hours to develop and I'm very  involved in making them the best they can be.

I teach the use of MIDI, Computer Sequencing and many facets of computer aided music.

 I give 'refresher', and 'How to Set Up and Use the Keyboard' lessons. I offer 'Remote Education' lessons for those not in contact with a teacher. and much more.

'Easy Classics' Several of the well known classical pieces, arranged for intermediate level. This book is a little unusual, some of the pieces are simply Melody-line and chords, while others are traditional Bass and Treble Clefs. CLASSICS BOOK

'Nursery Songs'  This project began in 2002 and is still being developed. It's designed for the  under 7 year old player, to ease them into reading notation using well known nursery rhymes, while developing their hand and eye co-ordination, fingering, etc. When the book is finished, it will need the supervision of a Teacher, or Adult with basic keyboard skills.
